They say the clothes make the man, but maybe it's the shoes that make the person. One wonders why most people keep their eyes to the ground when walking down the street. It's because people keep their don't need to see the face of the person, they can tell what they might be like just from the shoes. There are a couple key shoe choices that can put you in to a category/ stereotype show person.

If you spot someone with white Adidas with some color of stripes on the side, then that usually means they are the preppy types. This is because these shoes are classy yet sporty, in their simplicity. They give off a message that says

" I don't need flash to look and feel good."

These shoes are the norm for most high school kids.

Running shoes show that the person is athletic, or going to try and become athletic. Running shoes show comfort and in most cases ask for attention. They are usually flashy and expensive. Cross-trainers are pretty typical for the high school student. These shoes, although mostly made in China for 15 cents, are the most expensive. They mostly come in gray, Adidas and New Balance are the preferred brands.

Clogs and Teva's show that person is either down to earth, or Matt O'Gorman. Clogs especially the wool ones seem very popular with the o-so-trendy soccer moms. They are easy to slip on and off, plus they have a classy yet homely look. Teva's are more outdoorsy, or can been worn as a last resort. Teva's can only be displayed with success if the person is seen wearing them often, or if the person is doing something rugged and involves water.

The ever-popular Thong sandals are a symbol of comfort and for the male sex, not caring what others think. For the female gender however, they see this type of shoe as the hip thing to do even at this time of the year. The newest style of these thong sandals is the high-heeled ones. These types show people that the thong sandal wearing person is trying to be comfortable, trendy, and in the end look several inches taller.

Last of all is formal shoe wear. If a girl or women is wearing high-heeled boots, usually black, she is going for the mature/ sexy/ corporate look. This look works very well with most women. It shows a sense of control and assertiveness. She knows what she is about and means business. If a man is wearing formal shoes, then he is the business guru. He is a professional and if the man in question is a student he is pointing out to his peers that he does have class. In the formal shoe department, what is worn along with the shoe is also important. Formal shoes with sporty clothes only makes a person look scrubbish but when worn right the shoe can make a classy impression.

Although there are many shoe types that have been left out, that does not mean they do not matter. All shoe types are of the utmost importance. Shoes are a bold statement about oneself and the way they feel about themselves and extreme thought should be put into the shoe choice for each day. So when you wake up tomorrow, be careful of the pair you pick and make sure it expresses your identity loud and clear.
